THIS IS GONNA SUCK.
but it’ll be worth it.
Change, even necessary change, is uncomfortable, sometimes frightening, and always exhausting.
I help you navigate that change, recognize the difference between uncomfortable and unhealthy, and create a life that you want to participate in.
A colleague once described my style as "belligerently benevolent".
I’m soft and gentle when it’s needed, and skeptical and critical when it counts. That can be a lot for some people, and for others, it’s exactly what they need.
Something Needs to Change.
(You’re not looking for a therapist just for funsies.)
Am I a good therapist for you?
Depends.
Points in Favor:
You’ve done therapy before and it felt like a waste of time, or you’ve never done therapy because you didn’t think a therapist could tell anything you didn’t already know.
You like knowing why.
You may not always be able to find the right words, but you can always find some words.
You’re fine with seeing this thing sitting behind me at all times.
Points Against:
You’ve never tried therapy before.
Something’s just off and you can’t put your finger on it.
You expect your therapist to be polished and restrained.
You dislike dogs or are highly allergic to dog hair.
You are, in general, a very quiet person.
You find this plant pot distasteful.
